REGARDING THE WORLD'S SACRED WRITINGS

Several years ago I determined that there had been enough murder and pain
and suffering in the world relating to the inability of the dominant religions
of the world to live in peace with each other over the past millennia;
Christian v. Jews, Christian v. Muslims, Muslims v. Jews, Hindus v.
Muslims, Muslims v. Buddhist and so on.

I determined that if all the sacred texts of the major religions could be
rewritten in contemporary language with a WorldPeace orientation then
some religionist would take a moment to read the sacred words of other
religionist and find the core similarities therein. Maybe understanding
could lead to tolerance and maybe access to these words from someone
like myself who is neither a religionist nor a sacred text scholar might help
negate some of the negative language that religionist direct at each other.

I also determined, in essence, to rewrite only the alleged sayings of the
original founders of the major contemporary religions and not to rewrite
the endless commentary on what they said. For instance, I only looked at
what Jesus allegedly said and not what Paul said that Jesus said or any
number of other Christian writers said that Jesus said. In other words, I
went back to the source.

I am not concerned that these words have been edited and mistranslated
intentionally and accidentally over the millennia. All I addressed was what
contemporary religionist believe: and what they generally believe is what is
written in the sacred books they cherish. For Christians, what is written in
the New Testament of their bible is what Jesus said. It is from these words
that they find daily guidance. So it does not matter whether Jesus said it or
not. It only matters that the majority of Christians believe that what is
written in the contemporary Christian bible is what Jesus said.
