Valued Public Agencies and Public Servants

The Texas Republican Party "supports the abolition of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Energy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, the Department of Education, and the position of Surgeon General."

Texas Democrats believe that "government exists to help us achieve as a community what we cannot achieve as individuals. Good, responsible government need not cost more. In fact, it can cost less."

John WorldPeace believes that without a strong federalist system individuals and businesses with vast economic resources cannot resist the temptation to detrimentally manipulate the rest of the human society as well as destroy the environment for the purpose of increasing their wealth and power. Time has proven that profit oriented businesses are not willing to spend the vast amounts of money necessary to create a minimum standard of opportunity and security for all people. Therefore, society as a whole needs a democratic representation in governmental agencies that will control the policies of individuals and businesses which would pursue the objectives of the few at the expense of the many.

At the same time, John believes that the size of government should be minimized and governmental agencies should not be allowed to severely handicap individuals and businesses who and which have the ability to create jobs within the economy.
