JOHN'S PERSPECTIVE:

I have been married twice for 19 years each. If you count high school, I have been in a one on one relationship for 39 out of 42 years. I understand it. I didnt run around on any of these three relationships. I am looking for the life long relationship this time. I know what has and has not worked for me in the past 42 years. I believe that I will have to find someone and then we are going to have to work out all the kinks before it becomes exclusive. I have found that I want a woman close to my age. Women close to my age have their own lives, careers, homes, cars, family, lifestyles. For two people close to 60, merging lives is tricky. So taking time is required. While I am looking for Cinderella I am going to have fun dating special women. Here is generally what I am looking for.

ABOUT "CINDERELLA SENIOR" GENERALLY (Nothing is set in stone)

1) Age: 40 - 60
2) Exercise: In shape. Not necessarily athletic but in shape and trim. A woman in shape at 50 will be in shape at 80.
3) Financial: Is self sufficient financially. Does not require funding and will not be asked by me for financial aid ever.
4) Career: I prefer a professional: teacher, nurse, doctor, lawyer, accountant, psychologist, business owner, artist, sales, broker,etc.
5) Sexually: Experienced, uninhibited and joys in the romantic, emotional, sexual experience. I have a high sex drive. I am sixty. It is not going away.
6) Fear and Faith: I need a woman who is not as fearless as me but is also not fearful. Someone who has faith that all things are as they should be.
7) Religion: No fundamental religionists of any stripe please. No far out there in space New Agers.
8) Family: Prefer no kids at home. Been there done that. Parents self sufficient but requiring respect and attention is OK. That being said, raising children does have some appeal. But the mother would have to be someone very very special.
9) Fun loving: Someone who likes to have fun and likes to do things with a companion. Some of her preferences and some mine.
10) Vices: No smokers. No dopers. Occasional drinkers.
11) Healthy: Must be mentally and physically healthy. No Bi Polar.
12) Decisive: Someone who can make a decision without taking a vote of family, friends and/or hairdresser.
13) Independent: A woman who is her own person. Free standing. Toughened by the years but not hard or cynical.
14) Prejudice: No prejudice against, race, religion or nationality.
15) Intelligent: A bachelor's degree would be nice.

TRUE LOVE:

For me, love starts out with attraction and chemistry. And that must be there for a relationship to go the distance. Of that I am convinced. It is the glue that binds the entire relationship. But true love, is built on a foundation of many many loving acts that come from a true desire to make someone happy. From a respect for who that person is which for me transcends the trickier less stable emotional connections. I have seen so many relationships where the chemistry was off the charts but the marriage or relationship failed because the core personalities were just too much out of sync.

So I am looking for someone who can give and receive love daily. Sometimes moment to moment. Yes I want that initial click. But for me I am asking the question as to whether this person can go to the next level. Can this person achieve and does she desire to achieve a love over time that is so deep and intense that body mind and soul merge and there is a desire to never disengage from the physical intimate connection. This is possible but seldom achieved between couples. It requires an openness, desire, respect, and love.

DATING: Until I find true love, I intend to find pleasure in dating. I want to experience some fairy tale romance as well as some just pleasant and pleasing casual togetherness. For me, there is nothing to compare with spending quality time with a very special woman.
